MEMBERSHIP RULES
You must adhere to the rules and etiquette of golf and the rules of the Club (as may be decided by the appropriate Club Committee) at all times.
Be aware of and comply with the Code of Conduct for junior and juvenile members as set out in the Virginia Golf Club Safeguarding Policy. These are available to view on the website.
Pace of play - be aware of others playing behind you and when appropriate pull into the side and wave them through.
Must have three fully completed singles competition cards returned to be eligible to win first prize in either The Boy’s Cup/The Girl’s Cup or Captains’ Prizes to the Juniors/Juveniles.
Any complaints from a Junior /Juvenile member must be made through Parent/guardian in writing to the appropriate Club Committee and/or to the Designated Liaison Person / Club Children’s Officer. Complaints about Junior/Juveniles must also be made to the appropriate Club Committee and/or to the Designated Liaison Person / Club Children’s Officer in writing.
All golf equipment, including bags, trolleys and shoes, must be removed from the premises when you finish playing. Virginia Golf Club are not responsible for the safekeeping of your equipment.
You must book your playing time on Clubnet in advance and well before you reach the course. You may not book in a guest. It is your responsibility to report any technical issues with Clubnet to the Clubnet administrator or junior convenor.
You must play in groups of 3 or fewer even if the club booking system allows a 4th player to be added. Exception to this rule are where one of the 4 players is an adult member or if you are playing in a club competition.
Smart casual attire must be worn at all times. Beach shorts or football jerseys/shorts/togs are not acceptable.
When you book your date and time, you are booking in to play 18 holes or less. You must not play more than 18. You cannot leave the course and return to play later. If you arrive late, you will forfeit your round.
You must agree to abide by club membership rules before you can become a member of Virginia Golf Club.
